In this session of The Jason Loves Life Podcast, I go over the 8 steps to start a successful webComic. Most people think it is simply drawing and posting your art onto a website, but with these 8 steps you will have readers eagerly waiting for you to publish your first strip or page. These are the steps I took to launch The Madman of Magic WebComic and now I am very excited to share this strategy with you.

If you have never used tweet adder you need to check it out at www.supertwittersoftware.com; this particular link is an affiliate link so I do get a commission if you order using this link.

Not only has this software allowed me to get over 350 twitter followers on my @nichejournal profile without any work, it has allowed me to build a following of close to 5,000 on my most active account (@lovejasonlove) in just 6 months!

4950 followers

This software is by far the best software investment I’ve ever made, but you do have to be careful because if you use it in a bad way, or over use it, you can get your account suspended or possibly deleted. If you follow all the tutorials on the website, you will not have a problem.

Tweet Adder Facebook Fan Likes

The cool thing I just started experimenting with is tweet adder‘s “Thank You Message” function as a way to get more Facebook Followers.

I just received an update on the Iron Man 3 – Audi contest.

From the website, it looks like they will be having a group choose your own adventure comic. People vote what Iron Man should do, and then they write it into the next part of the webcomic.

At the end (looks like there will be 2 choices made by votes) their will be a contest involving an

It is finally up and running.

You can download the podcast to your computer or listen to it here on the blog. Additionally, I will be submitting the podcast feed to iTunes soon, so you can subscribe there as well – but I’ll let you know when it’s up and ready to go.

The focus of this episode is to talk a little bit about the goals of the webcomic, introduce myself, and what I will be covering in future episodes.

Future episodes will have a little more structure around the theme and lessons of the the show. I am also currently lining up guests to interview on the podcast as well.

If you listen to any of the future podcasts, I will have all show notes in the post related to that podcast and you can find all of them in the podcast section.

In this episode I talk about:

Microphone for podcasting

Microphone is set!

I’ve had the “podcasting” page up on this blog in November of 2012 with “COMING SOON” at the top. I originally put it up there because I assumed it would motivate me to get working on putting out a podcast.

Tonight I am playing around with the equipment and figured I should try a short recording to get familiar with the software.

Here it is:

Sorry if the audio is more mundane then you expected. The plan wasn’t to be clever, but to push forward with my plans to create a podcast.

I am very excited to start the podcast and hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making this first quick audio.
