Michael CorleyThis week we have special guest Michael Corley. Michael is a webcomic creator, voice actor, magician, podcaster and more…. all while holding down a day job.

Michael is one of those guys who is amazing at getting his name out there. He kept popping up on my radar every few days until I decided I needed to bring him on the show. We talk about ways he uses to market his webcomic, ethics of being a magician, and a peak into what it is like to do voice acting.

Bonus Question for John?

Image from WiddershinsA Victorian era action adventure!

Widdershins is a wonderful Victorian era action adventure involving magic, which I like and a pipe smoking girl with a gritty demeanor.  It has an exciting detective mystery feel to it.

We start with Sidney Malik in his apartment, writing to his parents.  The letter starts nicely enough and then goes in another, funny, direction; an unexpected hint at the humor of our delightful new protagonist.  What’s even better about Sidney, what nobody else has, is a troubling magical quirk.  Somehow, objects in other people’s possession just sort of ‘end up’ in his pockets.  Hmmm, interesting.  An unintentional pickpocket?  That’s new!  I can’t wait to see where this lands him.

Uh oh, he’s just unintentionally stolen something very magical, and very troublesome.  And it appears that it refuses to leave him… until he’s dead.  It’s okay though, Macavity, the guy Sidney accidently ‘stole’ it from is willing to help him out with that.  Dun dun DUUUUUNNN!

Rose City Comic ConWelcome back to the Jason Loves Life Show!

We are going through some changes as we try and re-launch the podcast. Sorry for being away for so long, but things get crazy. To help motivate me to get this podcast moving and updated every Monday, I went ahead and recorded several interviews already.

These include comic creators, internet celebrities, professional YouTube video creators, an Oscar Nominated Animator, and more…. All artist and creative types making a living as independent artists in their field.

Jason Coffman

In this episode I would like to welcome our newest intern, Jason Coffman.

Jason is a true die hard comic book fan. He contacted me a few months ago asking to be part of the Madman of Magic Comic Book team. We are excited to have him on the team and has been helping us promote the comic.

In this episode we talk a lot about Jason’s experience at Rose City Comic Con.

We are working on the Kickstarter Campaign Right now, but while we are getting that up you can join the mailing list to stay up-to-date!

In case you haven’t had a chance yet, you are going to want to sign up for the Madman of Magic Mailing List. It is separate from my Jason Loves Life List in that it just focuses on my comic book.

You can sign up to get updates on the upcoming Kickstarter Campaign.
