Comics
This is something all comic book readers should watch!
It covers the history of Comic Books, a look at how politics play a role in the scripts, and some of the people behind our favorite characters.
You need to watch this!
As a kid and even today, I don’t consider myself a comic book guy.
I enjoy the stories and love reading them, but I am not very knowledgeable about the history of the characters, the name of writers, or a lot of the back stories about my favorite characters.
I partially blame this on the fact that as a kid my parents did let me buy comics because we didn’t have the money. I had the choice of buying a comic book or renting a video game over the weekend and video games won every time.
This is one of the reasons I found this video so fascinating.
A few things I took from this video:
- Some people see Superman as the greatest superhero of them all. They say that at the begging of the video and I have to disagree!
- Comic books were more politics than I realized.
- Wonder Woman’s creator is amazingly interesting.
- Marvel filled for Bankruptcy in the ’90’s
Let me know what you thought of the video in the comment section below!

I haven’t worked a full time job in my life. I have always worked part time while running one side business or another. The reality is, I have hated every job that I have had. I had one or two I could stand (Teen Center Attendant, Camp Counselor, & Delivery Boy for a Farm Animal Feed Store) but most I hated with a passion.
Some of those jobs:
I am excited to see DC comic in Kindle, iTunes, and Nook market. So much so that I have decided to do a post and a video. I cover the same material in the video and the post, however,I get a little long winded and the editing gets a little weird, but if you would rather watch that I figure you can choose.
Are you ready to stop going to the comic book shop every Wednesday for your fix of Justice League, Bat Girl, Green Lantern. Besides the fact no one reads Bat Girl, you will soon be able to pick them up without leaving the house… Sweet, that means I never have take off my pajamas or put on real shoes.
DC Entertainment (the mother ship of DC Comics, Vertigo, and MAD) announced today it will be launching their entire line of comic books for download from the Kindle Store, iBookstore and NOOK.
DC Entertainment is the top comic book publisher in the United States and now the only comic book publisher to bring their full line up of comic book properties to the major e-book store platforms.
